Windsor Lifeguards Sponsored Swim

Due to the success of our last sponsored swim, we have decided to start off 2017 with a new challenge. This year’s swim will take place over two nights on 3rd & 10th February, and involve a well-known local landmark. We are challenging all the rookies to swim the equivalent distance of the 8 rowing lanes at Dorney Lake. This purpose built rowing lake is 2200 m long and 8 rowing lanes wide. The challenge is for the rookies to collectively swim 17,600 m or 704 lengths in the swimming pool over 2 training sessions. We are asking family and friends to sponsor their rookie, to swim their chosen number of lengths. This event is for all club members to take part, and the money we raise will go towards new rookie t-shirts & equipment in addition to helping the club continue in the forthcoming year. We thank you for your continued support and hope you will assist in making this event a success.
